My 6 year old son is a normal kid. He loves chicken nuggets, Mac and cheese, and corn dogs. Two weeks ago he got a stomach bug and was throwing up…a lot. The next day he seemed better. But then he got sick again. He went up and down for a week and a half. I took him to the dr and they told me to put him on a bland diet with no dairy for 2-4 weeks. Sounds easy enough.
But it’s not! I thought he was on a bland diet before. He likes plain rice, plain chicken, nothing spicy, nothing too flavorful. So the bland part isn’t that hard. But going dairy free? I don’t even know all the things that have dairy in them. I read more here:
His normal routine was having milk in the morning with some cereal and milk throughout the day. I’ve heard that milk and dairy could be bad for you. Although I am not one to jump on fad diets and I am not a crazy healthy, organic person, I am fascinated with nutrition and how our body handles food. Wish us luck.
